AGM and Awards Banquet - June 12th

It's that time of year again. The Milton Skating Club AGM and Awards Banquet will be held Friday, June 12th 2015. Please check your emails for the announcement and agenda for the evening. Event and ticket information is below. Tickets will go on sale Fri May 22 in the Club Office during posted business hours.

If you are interested in volunteering with the Milton Skating Club Board of Directors, nomintations may be made by any member in good standing, in writing to the Board of Directors at least 3 days before the Annual Meeting. Each nominee must accept the nomination in writing prior to the start of elections. Nominations from the floor at the meeting will not be accepted (club bylaw #36).

We encourage you to attend this meeting, not only to be aware of the successes of our club, but also to participate in setting the future direction of the Milton Skating Club. We look forward to seeing on June 12th.

Presidents' Message

Well, the 2015 COS STARSkate Championship Competition is now over, and it was a huge success. As president of the Milton Skating Club, I would like to thank all of our wonderful parent volunteers who worked tirelessly this weekend to ensure the event ran smoothly. I spoke with many vendors, parents, spectators and participants, and received nothing but positive feedback and glowing compliments. Thank you for time and efforts.

While it is impossible to thank each volunteer by name here, I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge those on the Organizing Committee. These individuals attended monthly meetings and spent the last 6 months organizing the event and its volunteers. Without you, the Milton Skating Club could not have hosted such a successful event. I'd also like to extend a special thank you to Deb Pockett and Meagan Phelps for taking on the role of Co Chair. You both did an outstanding job.
